IAEI News Call for Submissions — Residential Dwellings and Emergency Power Disconnects

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Issue: March/April 2020

Deadline: December 07, 2019

The 2020 edition of the National Electrical Code is here! We are interested in writers wanting to discuss the changes in residential dwellings, especially on the new changes focusing on emergency power disconnects. Residential service calculations and surge protection for dwelling units are also wanted. Alternatively, write an article for new installers on how to properly install (and inspect) electrical items within these dwelling units. From lighting to surge protection, cover changes in either the NEC-2020 or those being enforced within the NEC-2017 in your jurisdiction. Also, if you’re an AHJ, we’re interested in hearing issues you are facing within your local community or interesting stories from work (700 words). Interested in writing a story about these topics? Or want more potential topics to write about? Email submissions or ideas (or code violations with explanations for inclusion on iaeimagazine.org) to editorial@iaei.org by December 14, 2019. Include a 50-word bio. Visit iaeimagazine.org for more info on submitting a story.

P.S. Have another story idea? We’d love to hear them. For additional suggestions, here’s our editorial calendar for 2020. Feel free to submit a story before the deadline, and we can hold it to the relevant issue.

We look forward to hearing from you!
