How do I use the UL White Book?

Question: Presentation on how to use UL White book?

I received a UL White Book at an IAEI meeting. It seems to contain a wealth of information for electricians and electrical inspectors; however, I do not know how to use it. Does UL have an online presentation that can show me how to use the White Book?

Yes, in addition to UL providing White Book instructional presentations at IAEI meetings as well as selected electrical apprenticeship programs, UL has recently added a virtual training program to UL’s educational arm, UL University. Now you can learn the White Book at your own pace, on your schedule in the privacy of your own home, and best of all it is free. Just go to directly to www.uluniversity.com/ULWBorwww.uluniversity.com, select your country, then courses for Code Officials, and then scroll down to Understanding and Using the 2008 UL White Book program. Then follow the instructions to start your web-based training course on how to use this valuable supplement to the NEC.

Once the 2009 UL White Book is published, we will create a virtual training program for the 2009 White Book as well.
