Bill Brooks and Jim Rogers
Bill Brooks, PE, is principal of Brooks Engineering and has over 25 years of experience designing, installing, and evaluating grid-connected PV systems. He has written several technical manuals for the industry that are now widely used. He was the lead technical advisor developing the IAEI PV Online Training for Code Officials (PVOT). Mr. Brooks is an active participant on many national and international codes and standards panels. He represents the Solar Energy Industries Association on CMP- 4 of the NEC). He chairs the NFPA Large-Scale PV Electric Supply Stations, and Firefighter Safety Task Groups for the NEC.
Jim Rogers, electrical inspector for the Town of Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts and assistant fire chief for the Town of Tisbury, was formerly executive director for the Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Electricians. He represents IAEI as a principal member on National Electrical Code CMP 4 and he serves on multiple UL STPs dealing with PV products. He also serves on the Massachusetts Electrical Code and Interpretations Committees.
