Brian H. Monks
Brian Monks is the director of Anti-Counterfeiting Operations for Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL), which includes working with the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection to identify and seize products bearing counterfeit UL Marks. An electrical engineer, he has held various positions with UL, from investigating new product submittals to overseeing forensic analysis on electrical products that could potentially pose safety hazards to consumers. Monks has been a keynote speaker at anti-counterfeiting conferences around the world. Monks is also a board member of the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition (IACC) in Washington D.C. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering and a master's degree in business administration.
