Ken Vannice, Principal of Kenneth Vannice LLC, is the retired west coast compliance manager for Leviton Manufacturing Co., Inc. He is a member of the ESTA Technical Standards Council and Co-chair of the ESTA Electrical Power Working Group. Ken is the USITT principal representative to NEC Panel 15.
Steve Terry is the Vice President of Research & Development at Electronic Theatre Controls, where he leads the group that is responsible for global development of new products. Steve is a member of NEC Code Panel 15 and many UL Standard Technical Panels including STP 924 (Emergency Lighting and Power Equipment) and STP 1008 (Transfer Switch Equipment). He also participated in the UL task group that created the Branch Circuit Emergency Lighting Transfer Switch in the UL1008 standard.
He chaired the USITT Committee that wrote the internationally-accepted DMX512 standard for digital communications in lighting systems in 1986, and was inducted as a Fellow of the USITT in 2006.
Steve is currently a member of the ESTA Technical Standards Council, and the ESTA Electrical Power Working Group. He is also an ETCP Certified Electrician and an ETCP Recognized Trainer.
Mitch Hefter is Senior Systems Engineer for Philips Lighting. He is a co-chair of the ESTA Electrical Power Working Group, and a founding member of the ESTA Technical Standards Program - ANSI E1. Mitch is the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) principal representative to NEC Panel 15.
