Richardson, TX — January 7th, 2026 — The Independent Alliance of the Electrical Industry (IAEI) announced today that Michelle Hayden has been named Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Hayden brings extensive institutional knowledge and leadership experience to the interim role. She has served IAEI as the Director of Membership Services and is valued for her deep understanding of the association’s mission, operations, and membership needs. As Interim CEO, Hayden will oversee day-to-day operations and provide continuity in leadership as the organization advances its strategic priorities.
“The IAEI Board voted unanimously to appoint Mrs. Hayden as its Interim CEO and that speaks volumes to her level of professionalism and competence,” said David Humphrey, Chairman of the IAEI Board of Directors. “She is well liked and respected by the IAEI members and as we all know she is always….‘Happy to help’.”
The IAEI Board of Directors has confirmed that the search for a permanent Chief Executive Officer is ongoing and is being led by an Executive Committee. The committee is committed to a thoughtful and thorough search process to identify a leader who will guide the association into its next chapter while continuing to support IAEI’s core values of electrical safety, education, and professional excellence.
