The Independent Alliance of the Electrical Industry (IAEI), a leading voice for electrical safety, is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Langlois as the new Chairman of the Board and the successful election of its Board of Directors.
Daniel Langlois brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role as Chairman of the Board. Langlois is the Director of Regulator and AHJ Relations at CSA Group. He is responsible for promoting CSA Group’s certification programs and standards development initiatives while building new and strengthening existing relationships with Regulatory Authorities (RAs) and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) internationally. In his role, he works closely with industry associations, inspectors, regulatory authorities & AHJs, standards developers, certification bodies, contractors, electricians, manufacturers, and testing laboratories to promote the safe installation and use of certified products and systems.
“Daniel Langlois exemplifies everything great about IAEI,” said IAEI President and CEO Rudolph Garza. “He has been a dedicated IAEI member since 1991 and on the IAEI Board for 10+ years. Daniel has served on almost every IAEI Board Standing Committee, chairing numerous ad hoc committees over the years,” added Garza. “His advocating change in IAEI operations and governance is well documented, and I look forward to working hand in hand with him in achieving the goals and objectives of the IAEI Strategic Plan.”
The Board of Directors election results are as follows:
- Chairman – Daniel Langlois, Canadian Section
- Vice Chairman – David Humphrey, Southern Section
- Secretary – Jim Rogers, Eastern Section
IAEI’s Board of Directors is comprised of accomplished professionals from diverse backgrounds, each of whom brings unique insights and expertise to the table. The newly elected members will work closely with Chairman Daniel Langlois to support the company’s mission, rebranding initiatives, drive growth, and ensure that IAEI remains at the forefront of its industry. Mr. Langlois joins current IAEI board members Thomas Domitrovich, Kyle Krueger, David Williams, Rudy Garza, Jason Booth, Chad Kennedy, Larry Kinne, Casey Littlefield, Floyd Thomas, Jim Rogers, Rick Hollander, Cari Helberg, Daniel Langlois, David Humphrey, and Ken Masters.
In a statement, Daniel Langlois expressed his excitement about his new role, saying, “I am truly honored and humbled by the support and trust placed in me by the membership and the IAEI International Board. Being elected to the position of Chairman by my colleagues in the industry, for whom I have such great admiration and respect, makes this opportunity extremely special. I am very proud to lead a diverse, professional team of experts who are equally as passionate about public safety as I am. We are making great progress, and there is still much work to be done. I have had the pleasure of serving on the IAEI Board for over ten years and experienced great change in our association. I am excited about the future of IAEI and look forward to supporting our CEO, Rudy Garza, the IAEI staff and working with our board members to execute the implementation of the new Strategic Plan focused on growing this great association for future membership success and sustainability.”
